Charged

I watched Charged yesterday and it is probably my only show for the Man Singapore Theatre Festival this year. The script by Chong Tze Chien was really quite good. It certainly surprised me with the dashes of humour. The acting was even throughout, with decent to strong acting throughout the cast. I thought Aidli Mosbit’s performance was the stand-out for the night. She was remarkable. Set design was frugal, though I suppose it did work well with the script. In retrospect, I wonder if a more elaborate set could have been worked in more cleverly, although surely budget concerns would have figured. All in all, I certainly enjoyed myself, as did the company that I had, so I have to say it was an evening well-spent.
