Edition Additions: Eduardo Chirinos.

The Smoke of Distant Fires, Eduardo Chirinos, Open Letter, 2012.

I’m going to introduce a new type of post on this blog. They’ll be posts that record the arrival of new books to my personal library. These post will be called Edition Additions, which is a sort of name that tries to be clever very unsuccessfully.

And to get us going, here is what arrived in the mailbox today.

Eduardo Chirinos is a Peruvian poet, and The Smoke of Distant Fires is, I believe, his first book published by Open Letter. I’ve never read anything by him before, but was sufficiently intrigued by the description on the site.
