Here’s what I’m doing this semester, if it should interest anyone:
- Political Literature: Hamlet, Anil’s Ghost, Gary Snyder, The Handmaid’s Tale, Wole Soyinka, and Maxine Hong Kingston
- Shakespeare: Hamlet, Othello, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Twelfth Night, Measure for Measure, Antony and Cleopatra, Cymbeline
- Spectatorship and Film: The likes of Christian Metz, Laura Mulvey, and Steve Neale, against a backdrop that includes Vertigo, Woody Allen, and a couple of Ridley Scott pictures
I must say it in no way looks like a straightforward semester, but what’s school without a challenge, eh?
